Many of you who hear the word network marketing react with negativity. Maybe you've been burned in the past, or scammed by abusers of the network marketing business. Sure, there are plenty of con artists, and pyramid schemes out there, but that doesn't mean there aren't many, if not more legitimate network marketing businesses and marketers out there as well. In fact, successful network marketing businesses are in the majority.
Network marketing has been one of the fastest growing business models in the past few decades, growing at over 7% per year, far greater than the rate of the economy. By definition, multi level marketing is a business model that combines direct marketing with franchising. MLM businesses function by enrolling distributors to sell their products or services, and meanwhile earn additional income based on the sales of people they enroll into the organization as well, their "downline". More than half of the adult US population has at some time in their lives purchased products or services from a network marketing representative, and will continue to do so.
In an interview with financial and business expert Robert Kiyosaki about network marketing, he reveals why he believes network marketing is a very viable, strong business model. He points out that the world is changing, and there are good reasons why network marketing will emerge as one of the top of the business models of our future.
- People want more freedom and choices to control their lives and their time. People want to think for themselves.
- Most people hate their traditional jobs. They are tired of being "bullied" around by their bosses, and crammed into little cubicles all day. They are tired of being told what to do, when to do it, and where to do it. They are tired of having to ask permission for every little thing they do! They are fed up with being told when they will have lunch, when they can take a vacation, and how much money they will make regardless of how hard they work.
- Job security is a joke! If a company is in trouble, they either downsize, or sell out to another, bigger company. And we all know that counting on the government for our financial security is foolish, at best.
- For the average person, network marketing offers the opportunity to take control of your life and think for yourself. It offers choices, which is freedom. Network marketing levels the playing field, if you perform, you get paid, if you don't perform, you don't get paid. In network marketing, you are encouraged to get better at what you do.
So, why doesn't everyone get into a network marketing business? One word: FEAR. People fear the unknown, so they ask for someone else's opinion, someone who is equally afraid of this non-traditional business. They get talked into playing it safe, and decide to keep their "job security", which we've already established doesn't exist. The more security you need, the less freedom you have, the more needy you are, and the weaker you are.
Today is about being stronger, and smarter. Network marketing offers you the chance to build self-confidence, and become stronger. One of the best things about network marketing is that it offers mentorship and training, and those that are smart get the education they need to succeed in their network marketing business.
The difference between job security and financial freedom is not being told what to do!
So "why network marketing"? Because it offers you the chance to take care of your financial future. You can take responsibility for your finances, or take orders the rest of your life. The choice is yours.
